Nuts about seeds
Thursday, January 15th, 2009
If you’re the green fingered type then ‘Seedy Sunday’ is just for you. Seedy Sunday takes place every February and will be back at Hove Town Hall on Sunday 1st February 2009 with more seeds to swap, stalls to view and talks to inspire. This is the UK’s biggest community seed swap and it’s on our doorstep!
In return for a donation or in exchange for seed you have saved, growers can choose seeds from dozens of traditional varieties of garden vegetables, to take home and grow.
Many seed varieties are often no longer commercially available, but are naturally well adapted to local growing conditions - as well as being tasty and colourful.
Open from 10am – 4.30pm and tickets are available on the door, adults £1.50 (Children free) Full details can be found at http://www.seedysunday.org
So get growing!
